The Nuna Mixx Next Stroller – Nuna Mixx Review.

Nuna are always amazing us with their strollers. Through my research, I have come to know that the Mixx stroller was released some years ago, and since then parents have been attached to the stroller.

What is special about the Nuna Mixx Next stroller? Well, all Mixx strollers have almost the same design but some details differ.

For this review, I will only review the single Mixx Next stroller. Detailing the pros and pointing out the cons. I will then compare the Mixx next pushchair with other top-rated pushchairs, to see if it stands a chance in the market.

If you are interested in reading other Nuna Pushchairs I did review, you are welcome to click the link. It’s maybe easier to compare them and know which one can be for your child.

My Rating: 9/10.

The Mixx Next baby carriage does offer many things on its own, and your baby will love it. Nuna always comes with a quality stroller that’s why their strollers are expensive.

So, here you have a well-designed stroller that lies flat which means it’s suitable from birth. The seat offers 5 reclining positions.

This is more than most strollers offer, well the ones I have reviewed so far. 5 reclining positions makes it easy to accommodate your baby and toddler.

It’s suitable for up to 20kg that’s roughly 3 1/2 or 4 years. Which is a time many toddlers will be tired of the stroller. Mine stopped when she was pretty young.

The seat can face you or the world. Both are important because it’s easier to keep an eye on your baby. You can use both positions depending on the situation.

In my experience, your newborn should face you up to at least 6 months or so. It’s safer and they will have more privacy which can be needed.

You can choose to have a 3 or 5 point harness system. It has a one-click button. The click button makes it easy when you are in hurry.

It’s even easier for those new mums who are not that familiar with using strollers. It can get too complicated otherwise. Moving on to the canopy.

It has a big sun cover and can be extended. The canopy provides a mesh ventilation system for your baby and toddler. It’s easier to breathe with easy airflow fabrics.

Can be important to those children who have hard breathing. This can also help in difficult environments and situation. A bonus feature.

A so-called “calf support” with leg rest. These are useful during winter for your bigger baby and toddler. It will keep them warm and rest their legs, hence leg rest.

More Features.

Mixx Next pushchair can be folded while the seat faces you or the world. Which is good. No need to dismantle it before and it also saves you space.

When you ask me about It, it’s easier this way. Mine has to be dismantled and then folded, but I guess with experience you learn.

It has a quick one-click fold and by using one hand you can unfold it. The Mixx Next also has a rear-facing braking system. The wheels are also easy to manoeuvre with.

A big shopping basket underneath to make things easier for those who constantly buy groceries. More helpful for those who don’t have cars.

A car seat adapter and a rain cover are included, and also comes with a bumper bar. The stroller is available in more than one colour.

Additional Accessories.

You can buy a carrycot and car seat to complete it to either a 2in1 or 3in1 Travel System. You can use the car seat adapters to fit the car seat.

The carrycot comes with its features. It can be used as an overnight sleeping place. It’s light and big at the same time. Providing a high roomy space for babies.

It can also be folded for easy storage and compact when folded. The fabrics are removable and washable which enables the product to last long.

View the Nuna Mixx next carrycot for more detailed information. Moving on to the car seat. Is one of the best car seats out there. Top rated by many parents.

Cons.

  • Expensive for a single stroller. With the travel system and other additional accessories, it can come to cost a lot.
  • The seat is not big, may not accommodate bigger toddlers. Have been reported to lack space.
  • The colours are limited. You can’t have many colours.
  • Can’t be converted to a double pushchair.
  • Wheels are removable.
  • The age suitability it’s just up to roughly 3 years. You will have to buy a lightweight stroller if your toddler still needs a stroller. Note that this is just approx. Your toddler might even use it beyond this age. Every child is different.
  • It does not offer many features some other strollers do. Like a backrest, UPF50+ protection, zip pockets, etc.

The Mixx Next Stroller vs Other Strollers.

What other strollers can be compared to the Mixx Next Stroller? Well, there are many of these strollers. For this comparison, I decided to choose the Babyzen YoYo+ stroller and The Bugaboo Ant Stroller.

I chose these two because they have almost the same quality, and are from top brands. The strollers offer different and similar things.

Are similar in their lightweight and all of these three are single stroller. Let’s find out if the Mixx Next Stroller stands a chance.

Mixx Next Stroller vs Babyzen YoYo+ Pushchair.

Both of these have two separate design, but they do offer top quality fabrics and beneficial features for your baby and toddler. These are their other similarities:

  • Both are suitable from birth up to 3 years (with Mixx Next it can be more).
  • Easy fold And unfold.
  • Foot cover.
  • Extended canopy.
  • Travel System ready.
  • Excellent wheels.
  • Compact fold.
  • Includes rain cover.

The YoYo+ has other additional features such as a bigger and wide open canopy, a bigger basket, a backrest that reclines 140 degree, shoulder straps, can be used as changing place, has travel bag as an accessory, etc.

Mixx Next stroller offers longer age suitability, ventilation system on the canopy, sun cover, either use 3 or 5 point harness system with button release and it has rear-wheel brakes.

After analysing both of these the Babyzen YoYo+ looks more promising to the majority of parents because of the features it has. The stroller is more convenient for travellers as the YoYo+ fits in aeroplane cabins.

However, the Nuna Mixx next stroller also has its attractiveness. So, it depends on what you are looking for and what matches your day to day lifestyle.

Mixx Next Stroller vs Bugaboo Ant Stroller.

Like the one above these two share similarity in their design, and look more alike than the other one. The Bugaboo Ant stroller is not well talked about like the Cameleon 3 but it has its offers. The similarities can be:

  • Travel system ready.
  • Sun cover.
  • Forward and rear-facing.
  • Footrest/leg rest.
  • 5 reclining positions.
  • Offer compact fold and trolley like a stroller.

The Ant is extremely lightweight, offers UPF50+ protection, all suspension wheels, backrest, removable wheels, suitability up to 22kg and offers more colours to choose from.

By viewing above you can also see that the Mixx Next stroller offers certain features the Ant stroller don’t have. I will have to say both of these are good in their way.

Each of their features rivals the other and makes up some missing parts. So, both take first place, but again depending on your lifestyle one stroller is better than the other.

The Ant stroller is more for those who have tiny spaces or love to travel. What best pleases your family, and what you think will make life easier for your day to day life.

A Safe and Breathable Environment for Newborns.

It indeed offers a safe and breathable environment for babies and even toddler. It will even be better with the carrycot and car seat included.

A safe and secure place during all seasons, and an easy to push stroller which takes you to many places. It might not be the stroller for everyone, but it does have good quality fabrics and excellent features that will last for years.

  1. I like the Mixx Next Stoller. I have been looking at other strollers and this one has the features I need. It doesn’t have some of the fancy stuff other strollers have, but I won’t buy things I won’t use. I prefer less feature that perform well, than many that perform poorly. You have made me make up my mind.

  2. Hello Fatoumata,

Great review of the Mixx Next! It’s not too wordy, but tells about each feature, add-ons, pros and cons, and comparisons with similar products. Before I buy an item, such as this, I like to know as much info as I can. And you have done excellent research, saving me time and energy. Also, you have had experience as a mom, so know what to look for and what is essential in a stroller.

    Thanks for your help~

  3. First off I enjoyed the content, this Nuna Mixx sounds to be a very sound stroller, I have had my run-ins with different strollers, but I imagine the ones they use today is a bit different than the ones in the ’80s I’ll show this to my grandson for my great-grandson.

the article was very self-explanatory with your content I was able to make an educated choice on the stroller I would pick if we were looking to have a child, the Nuna Mixx would be the better pick in my eyes after all you get what you pay for.

    Thank You

  4. Thanks for introducing us to the Nuna Mixx stroller.

This is an item that really needs to be well researched before purchase.  Because if you buy the right one at the outset, it will last for as long as you need, no matter how many children you have.  That is why a little more spent on the first one could actually save you money in the long run.
