The Nitro Lx Pushchair.

Product: Nitro Lx.

Price: £69.00.

Size of the Product:  l 85 x w 48.8 x h 108.5cm

Delivery: Multiple options.

My Rating: 8./10.

Suitable from birth with the lie-flat option, the Nitro Lx offers a comfortable place for your little one. It’s suitable for up to 15kg which is around 3 to 3 and half years.

Depending on your child it can be more or less. Joie baby is promoting the pushchair to be a very lightweight stroller and easy to handle.

Confirmed by my friend by the way. She loved the older version, which is similar to this one. The chassis weighs only 8.1kg which is not the lightest stroller but is among the lightest.

After your baby reaches 6 months you can adjust the seat, and position it upright to give them a better view. The Nitro Lx also offers you this with just one hand.

Busy the other hand with other activities or queries. An Adjustable hood that can be removed to be cleaned. During summer days to provide more open space for your little one.

A legrest is also included in the design to give your toddler a place to relax. Adjust the seat to lie mode and me they can have their afternoon nap.

Harness system with covers to offer protection for your newborn. It’s also a good way to keep the harness clean and you won’t need to always clean it.

A sun cover is included with the hood or canopy. Good for those summer days. The heat can be overwhelming for kids, especially newborns.

More Features.

Moving on to the chassis or frame you have a static handlebar as you can see in the image. Made with ergonomic foam to offer cushion and a soft grip for the one pushing.

You also have a bumper included which is covered. The covers can be removed and washed, and the bar is attached to the stroller when folded. Saves you space if you lack it.

With all suspension wheels and lockable front swivel wheels. The swivel wheels will help you a lot when pushing through narrow streets.

When locked they keep the pushchair firm and unlock them to have a better manoeuvre. Offers a smooth and comfortable ride for your little one.

Reported to offer an easy fold and compact when folded. Straps are available to use and carry with. Very important and helpful when travelling abroad or using public transport.

A medium-sized basket underneath. Good to use to carry groceries which is the obvious part, but also a changing bag or other personal belongings.

What accessories can match with the Nitro Lx stroller? A rain cover is included with the purchase which is good. If you live in a rainy area it’s ideal to have one.

Clips or hooks are also important to have with you. If you place your bags in the static handlebars it can be heavier and it won’t allow you to walk behind the stroller.

It will be in the way, so clips make things easier. Consider buying that. What about changing bags? If you are interested in buying changing bags view my list of 10 fancy baby changing bags.

  • Not travel system convertible which means no car seat and carrycot.
  • Forward-facing only
  • The basket can’t be reached when the pushchair is positioned in a certain way.
  • Colours are limited.
  • The static handle means it can’t be adjusted.
  • The pushchair can be hard to use on rougher grounds as it’s not all-terrain.
  • The wheels are small and tyres are not punctured proof.
  • Two separate brakes, which can take more time to break. One system brake can be better.

Joie Nitro Lx Pushchair vs Other Popular Pushchairs.

What other similar strollers are in the market right now? As I always do, I compare the stroller with other strollers have done a review on.

To compare them better and quick, yet detailed. Therefore, for this comparison, I chose the Silver Cross Zest Pushchair and the Silver Cross Pop Star stroller.

All three are lightweight and popular among many families, so let’s see if the Joie Nitro Lx Pushchair stands a chance.

Joie Nitro Lx vs Silver Cross Zest.

Booth of these strollers looks more similar than many lightweight strollers. Their look, however, is different but you have some features and design that are similar. These are the similarities:

  • Suitable from birth with the seat.
  • Recline positions.
  • Compact fold.
  • 5 point harness.
  • The same sort of wheels and two brake system.
  • A medium-sized basket.
  • Sun cover.
  • Straps.
  • Both hoods are extended.

These are the few features these strollers share. What differs is that the Zest stroller offers softer and cushioned inlays.

The stroller also offers a big hood with UPF50+ protection and a ventilation system. A backrest and one-hand fold. Looking at the features it’s tempting.

The Nitro Lx stroller offers features such as a cover on the bumper which are removable. The former doesn’t offer a bumper at all.

It offers a one-hand recline, removable hood, leg rest, the harness has covers and the seat is deeper. Offering a better place for your child to seat.

The Silver Cross stroller weighs less at 5.8kg which way less than the former at 8.1kg. Regarding the price, the Nitro Lx stroller is cheaper, but the price difference it’s not major.

Both of these give your family a good journey and will be very good for travellers. Also, the age suitability for the Zest stroller is up 25kg which can be up to 5 years.

The Zest looks like to be the winner, but the Joie pushchair has its benefits and many families will choose it. It all goes backs to what you and your family need.

Joie Nitro Lx vs Silver Cross Pop Star stroller.

The one above is more similar in look with the Pop Star stroller than the Nitro Lx stroller, however, these two also share similarities. These are:

  • Cushioned bumper bar.
  • Harness system.
  • legrest.
  • Extended canopy and sun cover.
  • Easy fold and compact when folded.
  • Recline options.
  • Suitable from birth with the lie-flat position.
  • System brakes.

The Silver Cross Pop Star stroller offers a backrest, softer and cushioned fabrics, a ventilation system, UPF50+ protection, peek a boo window and more colours.

The age suitability for the Pop Star stroller is up to 25kg and the stroller is lighter but more expensive than the former. Of course, the Nitro Lx stroller also offers certain features the silver cross stroller don’t offer.

Just like we analysed with the one above, it looks the Silver Cross pushchairs are better, but yet the Joie Nitro Lx stroller is still chosen by many families.

The choice’s yours and it’s up to you to decide which stroller to choose.

The Lightweight Pushchair.

Although it’s not the lightest pushchair out there, the Joie Nitro Lx stroller still holds a special place for many families. Quoted from my friend with older similar version: “It’s easy to use and I found it very lightweight”

Which it’s true if you compare it to many strollers out there. What do you think? It’s the stroller something you will consider buying or not?

What are your thoughts on all of these other strollers I compared it with? Which one is your favourite? The Pop Star stroller does look promising, doesn’t It?

There you go, parents now you have in front of you a lightweight and durable stroller.
