Stokke Trailz Stroller Review.

A unique Scandinavian design stroller that comes with its own carrycot. The Stokke stroller is quite interesting in its look and quality.

Parents love the stroller because of how slim it seems, and how it is considered to be one of the best strollers out there when it comes to quality.

What makes the stroller amazing? Is it only the look and fabrics or are there certain things to it? I friend of mine has this stroller, and I have asked her certain things about it.

Let’s delve into the details, and see why it’s soo loved by many.

My Rating: 9.5/10.

By just looking at the performance you can already see that the features are many and beneficial. Let’s break them up and see how each of them can help you.

Suitable from birth the Trailz stroller last up to 3 years, which is a good age for most children. The stroller is made with very strong and quality materials and fabrics to withstand many impacts.

It will make it last longer, good for future children. Moving to the stroller seat you have extra cushions laid there, to provide a soft place to seat and sleep.

The seat offers 3 reclining positions a place for your precious little one to sleep, play and view. It’s forward and rear-facing having both options enables your little one to enjoy many views.

When they are small just born, the rear face can be the best option, to keep them safe and covered. However, when growing up you will need them to face forward for them to see other environments.

It’s good for their development. It will even make them more excited. The seat is designed to be higher than many baby carriages.

A higher seat makes it easier when you out with your baby in the city. Use it as a seat in restaurants. A higher seat also offers your baby or small child a better view.

It also creates a more bonding time with parent and child. A ventilated, extendable canopy or hood comes with it. Makes it easier to breathe, and offers protection from the sun.

More Features.

All suspension tyres and all-terrain wheels. This means the tyres are smooth and easy to push with, especially those, that are air punctured.

All-terrain wheels will take you anywhere. Rough and easy grounds will be the same according to the manufacturers. The handle is ergonomic.

Its also made with leather and can be adjusted. Which makes the Trailz stroller suitable for many heights. Perfect for families with different heights.

A shopping basket that’s waterproof is underneath for all your groceries or bags. It’s a travel system ready with a carrycot and car seat.

The car seat is bought separately. The stroller is available in many colours which makes it truly stick out.

As stated above the frame is compatible with both a carrycot and car seat. The carrycot/ bassinet is big and roomy. Has much space for your newborn and baby.

Comes with a smooth mattress and excellent fabrics. It’s also has a canopy that helps with the sun’s heat. The Trailz is compatible with it owns brands car seat

Which are Stokke izi Go X1 by BeSafe and Stokke izi Sleep X3 by BeSafe. It’s also suitable with universal adapters which enables it to be used with many car seats.

View the Evenflo LiteMax Infant car seat and Maxi-Cosi Car Seats to see some available options. These are reviews I did.

  • It’s highly expensive to just be a single stroller. With the car seat, changing bag, etc the stroller might go up £1500 pounds or $1700. Depending on where you buy it. You can buy it second hand which it’s cheaper and you save money.
  • Not a convertible stroller which means it can’t be transformed into a double stroller. When you have another child while this one on the way still needs a stroller, then you have to buy a stroller board.
  • It’s not foldable with all attached. You will always have brake it apart to fold it. Which is super frustrating when you are in a hurry. This means when using public transport saving space is not an option.
  • The carrycot is big and bulky. Even the stroller is bulky. Not the best option when travelling. Sorry travellers.
  • Reported to be heavy. Again, sorry travellers.

Stokke Trailz Stroller vs Other Strollers.

What other top-rated strollers are compatible with this one? This one needs to be compared to other quality and expensive strollers to be fair because it comes with many features.

For this review, I chose the egg 2 stroller and the Silver Cross Jet stroller. Both of these are quite interesting, and differ in look with the Stokke, but are also praised.

Stokke Trailz Stroller vs The egg 2 Stroller.

Both of these share a similar trait many strollers don’t. They are both designed differently from your typical stroller design. The egg 2 Stroller looks like an eggshell, and the Trailz well has high seat and a small frame. These are the other similarities:

  • Suitable from birth.
  • Reclining positions.
  • Forward and rear-facing.
  • Big and spacious canopy.
  • Travel System ready.
  • Leather handle and adjustable.
  • Both are highly expensive.
  • Top-quality materials and fabrics.
  • Swivel front wheels
  • Extendable canopy/hood.

The differences are that the egg 2 is folded with one and stand when folded, adjustable footrest,  small front wheels, lighter carrycot which is easy to carry, sunshade, a seat liner and the stroller is lighter.

You can also see that the Trailz offers a high seat, excellent tyres,  and all suspension and all-terrain wheels. A waterproof basket,  extra cushion on the seat and ventilated hood.

This is actually a hard choice because they bought share almost the same feature, but also offer other features the other don’t have.

Egg 2 is more expensive, but it does take the cake because it’s foldable and lightweight. Well, lighter than this one. Otherwise many would have preferred the Trailz because of its compatibility.

Stokke Trailz Stroller vs Silver Cross Jet Stroller.

These two look different in design because the Pioneer Stroller has the typically stroller look. These are the features they share:

  • Suitable from birth up to around 3 years.
  • Reclining positions.
  • Extendable canopy/hood.
  • Handle designed with leather.
  • Easy brakes.
  • Air ventilation.
  • Travel System ready.

The Jet Stroller is lighter and can be folded. Stands when folded to like a suitcase. You can push it. Pop-out sunshade on canopy/hood with UPF50+ protection, 5 point harness system and the carrycot/bassinet is also lighter.

As you can see the Trailz also offers features that the other above don’t offer, but it’s more expensive. The Silver Cross Jet stroller can be considered better because it’s lightweight and foldable.

It also offers protection from the sun, but the Stokke looks more promising. I will have to state that both are equal, depending on what you like and need in your lifestyle.

The option is really yours. What makes the Stokke special is that it’s available in many colours while the other two above are maybe available in one or two colours.

This might also come into play when choosing.

A Scandinavian Design.

A true Scandinavian design stroller with many features and excellent fabrics and materials. It might not be known to many parents out there.

I am sure the stroller does impress many, and it’s a head-turner because of its unique looks. What are your thoughts after reading the full review?

Do you think it’s better than the strollers above or not? Do you have a different opinion? Give three reasons why YOU might buy this.

I would love to know your thoughts.

  1. Wow that’s quite a nice stroller! Bit pricey though… my kids are grown up now, but when they were little (about 20 years ago) – we bought a stroller for £40… 🤨 – anyhow, I guess this one must have a good few bells and whistles to make it worth the price. Review was good and informative, thanks.

    • Hi Muhammad. Ohh that’s a long time ago. Now strollers are really expensive. Stokke is a very famous brand and they are known for their high quality products. Thank you for dropping by. If you know anyone who’s interested in buying strollers, do let me know. I will try and give them some tips. Click here

  2. What a great site I just went on! I love the post as well but I don’t know what to say but that is a bit too much money for me. Even though I don’t have any babies, I still bookmarked it to know what I can get when I do have kids sometime when I’m married, thanks for the very honest review of it. and I liked that as well, thanks for doing this.

    Have a good day.

    • Hey there Rebekah. Thanks for dropping by and I’m happy that you like my site. Yes the stroller is indeed expensive. I won’t buy it, but I got a friend who has it and it’s a very popular stroller. Parents love the stroller. Here is a link to a cheaper one. Feel free to drop by in the future. I’m always here to help, just let me know.

      All the best,
