Silver Cross is Britain’s most famous brand regarding baby products, alongside Joie. The brand has famous strollers and car seats.

Therefore many parents tend to buy their car seats. In this article, I will go over the car seats they offer through my search. These are the car seats that are still popular and available in the market.

I will only answer the title question, which is “How Long Can a Baby Stay in a Silver Cross Car Seat?”

It’s important to know how long your baby can last in a car seat and when they can use it because car seats are expensive so you will want to buy the most convenient and suitable one.

Can Long Can a Baby Stay in a Silver Cross Car Seat?

As you may know, there are different types of car seats. You have infant, convertible and booster seats. I will state the Silver Cross car seats base on these three categories.

How Long Can a Baby Stay in a Silver Cross Infant Car Seat?

SILVER CROSS DREAM CAR SEAT –  BUY ON AMAZON.

This car seat is compatible from birth up to 15 months. The maximum weight is 13kg and the minimum weight is around 3kg.

It weighs 5.4kg which makes it quite heavy. These are the dimensions ‎58 x 44 x 66.5 centimetres.  You can read more details on this page.

The Silver Cross Dream Car Seat is compatible only with the Dream base, which you can buy on Amazon. Click the link above.

SILVER CROSS SIMPLICITY AND SIMPLICITY PLUS  –  BUY SIMPLICITY PLUS ON AMAZON.

Both of these car seats are suitable from birth up to 15 months and again which is up to 13kg. The Simplicity weighs about 4kg and the Simplicity Plus about 4.6kg.

Lighter than the one above. The dimensions for the Simplicity Plus are 10 x 10 x 85 centimetres and 72 x 39.8 x 45.8 for the Simplicity.

SILVER CROSS VENTURA AND VENTURA PLUS.

These car seats are a bit old, but these available to buy on eBay. It’s suitable from birth up to 9 months. The Ventura Plus weighs 4.7kg.

You can fit it in the car or use the Ventura Isofix base, and this base is a bit different compared to the other bases above.

How Long Can a Baby Stay in a Silver Cross Convertible Car Seat?

SILVER CROSS MOTION CAR SEAT – BUY ON AMAZON.

This car seat is both rear and forward facing. It’s suitable from birth up to 12 years. Because it’s a convertible car seat it’s not compatible with strollers.

It has 360 rotation making it easy to get your baby in. Rear-facing from birth up to 4 years and the rest is forward-facing.

These are the dimensions 44 x 37 x 64 cm; 14.4 Kilograms.

You have 18.5kg for the maximum rear-facing position you can be in, which means it’s the minimum for the forward facing.

36kg maximum for the forward-facing option. The base comes with the seat which is the case for convertible seats.

SILVER CROSS BALANCE – BUY ON AMAZON.

An award-winning car seat that’s for group 1,2 and 3 stages. Suitable from 15 months up to 12 years.  It’s a forward-facing car seat.

The dimensions are 57 x 66 x 46 centimetres and weigh 12.2kg which makes it a bit lighter than the former. The maximum is 36kg.

It’s installed with Isofix or top tether.

SILVER CROSS QUANTUM.

Silver Cross first group 1 car seat, which means it’s quite old. It’s suitable from 9 months up to 4 years.  It’s of course a forward-facing car seat.

(I, unfortunately, could not find the dimensions and weight.)

How Long Can a Baby Stay in a Silver Cross Booster Seat?

SILVER CROSS NAVIGATOR.

The Silver Cross Navigator is a forward-facing Booster seat. Suitable from 4 years up to 12 years, or 15kg up to 36kg.

It’s quite light for the design it has because it only weighs 6.6kg. This seat is only available in black and it’s a bit old, so it’s not that easy to find on the market.

SILVER CROSS DISCOVER – BUY ON AMAZON.

The Silver Cross highback Booster seat is available mostly in black. (What I could see). It’s suitable from 3/4 years up to 12 years.

It’s from 15kg up to 36kg. 43 x 92 x 46 centimetres are the dimensions and it weighs 7.2kg.  A bit heavier than the one above.

It has extended side wings to make your older child more comfortable.

Conclusion.

Knowing how long your baby will be staying in a car seat as stated above is very important so that you can plan better and choose the car seat that best suits you.

If I have to recommend which of these to consider. I would go for the Dream car seat for the infant car seats. The Motion convertible car seat among the convertible seats.

If you are going for a booster seat instead of a convertible seat then the Silver Cross Discover is of course better.
