My Rating: 9.5/10.

Suitable from birth up to around almost 18 months the car seat is there to make life easier. The minimum weight of the car seat is just 1.8kg which is 4 pounds.

Perfect for tiny babies. Many parents are born with tiny babies and some car seats don’t always have the features or weight to handle these babies.

The LiteMax 35 Platinum says otherwise. The seat also comes with a base to install in your car. You don’t have to worry about installing it wrong.

It has a SufeSafe Launch Guide information if you have installed it right or wrong. Its lights indicate the answer for you.

The base also comes with a central pendulum reclining indicator. It will show you if you have reclined the seat well enough in the car.

I.E. if you have adjusted it and it fits perfectly. The fabrics are good because they adjust to the weather. Meaning it provides a soft and warm place in the winter and cool and fresh air in the summer.

Keeping it a good temperate for your child to be in. A safe and cosy environment for your little one.

More Features.

The padded ergonomic handle is there to make parents life easier. Ergonomic handles are easy to grip and carry your car seat with.

It’s also slim and has a smooth grip. A harness system with chest pads is also included. The chest pads can be washed in the washing machine and dried.

You have head and body support. Soft fabrics that are made for your little one’s tiny body and fragile head. It together with the harness will keep the baby safe.

This car seat has a canopy with its zip. Zip it and unzip it for removal. Allowing your baby to view more of the world and breath more fresh air when they have grown.

Another feature is the buckle pockets. The LifeMax 35 Platinum is available in more than one colour. This one, in particular, is grey but the head and body support are pink.

One of the lightest car seats out there for families to use.

A nice mix of colours, and can also be considered cheap to some parents. It’s less than £100 in the UK. There are many car seats that are more than this.

Compatibility with Strollers.

The Evenflo car seat as stated above is suitable for a single and jogging stroller. The car seat is suitable for Evenflo strollers. The specific strollers are the Sibby stroller which turns it into a travel system and the INVOGO8 stroller.

It being suitable for jogging is good because then you use the stroller and jog or run with your baby and even older child. The seat is suitable for up to around 18 month’s, so it’s safe to run with them.

It’s even lighter to run with a car seat and easier.

  • Although the car seat price is quite okay compared to other car seats it will still be considered expensive by many.
  • The colours are limited and are not multicolour seats. (many parents like these kinds of seats).
  • Only suitable with two strollers. Which makes your options limited. You can still buy the car seat to use in your car, but not the stroller if you don’t have the ones I mentioned above.
  • The canopy does not have A sun cover and UPF50 or 25+ protection.
  • It lacks features such as more absorbing sides and better quality fabrics.
  • The seat is narrowed, bigger babies may hard time fitting.

Evenflo Litemax 35 Platinum vs Other Car Seats.

Reading through the review you can see that the LiteMax 35 Platinum is a good and simple car seat that families will love. Are there other car seats that rival it?

For this post, I have chosen to compare it with the famous Mesa Infant Car Seat, and the Maxi Cosi Tinca i-Size car seat to see if it’s better.

LiteMax 35 Platinum vs Mesa Infant Car Seat.

The two seats look similar in size and how they are designed. These are the other similarities:

  • Both have head and body support.
  • Breathable fabrics.
  • Side impact protection.
  • A canopy that can be pushed backwards.
  • removable fabrics for a wash.
  • Both are compatible with a base.
  • Both are only suitable with a few strollers.

These are the similarities. The Mesa Infant Car Seat has more side impact protection, sun and UPF50+ canopy, more breathable fabrics, adjustable headrest, harness, etc. The seat is compatible with more strollers.

It has many more features. Click the link to see.

However, it’s heavier and more expensive. The LiteMax car seat only has three features the other don’t have, and that is a zip comes with the car seat, buckle pockets and it has an ergonomic handlebar.

The seat is suitable for up to almost 18 months, which is longer than the other one. At just approx 14 months.

The seat is lighter and cheaper, so it depends on what you like. If it only was based on features, and usage on strollers then the Mesa Infant Car Seat would have won, but the LiteMax 35 Platinum is much lighter and cheaper.

Having a lightweight car seat is useful in the long run. A heavy seat will make daily walks harder to do. It’s hard to carry too.

LiteMax 35 Platinum vs Maxi-Cosi Tinca i-Size car seat.

Like the one above these two also look similar in design, but not only that. Other similarities are:

  • Both have inlay fabrics.
  • Side impact protection.
  • Lightweight.
  • Canopy.
  • Compatibility with a base.
  • Deep seats.
  • Harness system.

The Tinca i-Size car seat offers a sun cover canopy, much lighter, compatible with strollers with two major brands and the seat is much open.

However, it cost more than this one does, but not that much indifferent. I would choose the Tinca i-Size car seat because of its compatibility, open seat and weight.

The LiteMax also has features such as buckle pockets, and a zip with the canopy the others don’t offer. Again, it depends on what you can afford and consider to be a top priority in your lifestyle.

One thing that will make you choose the seat above the two above is if you are having a tiny baby. This one is better, and it last longer.

Is it the Car Seat for Everyone?

I do believe the car seat is for you if you are only planning to use the seat in your car. It fits many cars with the base. Your baby will grow with it.

If you are planning to use it with the stroller then is not the best one to buy. Its compatibility is extremely limited. You don’t k ow what the future beholds, so buy a car seat that offers more compatibility.

So, no it’s not for everyone, but it can be for many depending on your lifestyle.

Do you agree or disagree? Tell me three things you love about this car seat, and how it will fit into your lifestyle?
