Have you heard of the Hauck brand before? If not, then you are about to be introduced to one of their double strollers. The Duett 2 is a tandem pushchair and is only suitable for children of different ages.
So, it’s not a twin stroller for your little ones. More like a stroller, you can buy from the beginning to one baby, and then later on if you have another you can use the seat.
Many parents buy these kinds of strollers if they plan on having more kids. Others just do, you never know what the future has in store.
View these twins baby strollers if you are expecting twins. They are a bit expensive, but they come with many features and the quality is excellent.

Hauck Duett 2
Product: Hauck Duett 2.
Size of the Product: H105cm x W66cm.
My Rating: 9/10.
As you have read above the double stroller does offer many things, that’s suitable for many lifestyles. Suitable from newborn up to preschool.
With the carrycot, your baby has a cover to protect their legs, and the hood or canopy has ventilation. It offers a breathable environment for little ones.
Much needed during summer. The carrycots fabrics are soft and safe. Offering a quiet and safe environment to be in. It’s also big and bulky.
Moving on to the seat you have the carrycot being converted to a seat with belt straps. Meaning the package only comes with 2 accessories, and not 3.
Convert the carrycot to a seat when your baby is ready to move on to the next step. The seat offers a backrest and adjustable leg rest.
Your toddler will love being able to rest well. There’s of course a second seat that can be fixed below for your toddler to sit on that’s if you have a second baby.
Otherwise, the stroller can be used as a single pram. You have also the option to choose whether you want your baby or toddler facing you or the world.
Forward and rear-facing can be something good to have. It’s not always better to have your child facing only you all the time or vice versa.
Situations can come up where you need to have both. I have both options on my baby’s stroller, and over time I have found it to be very useful.
The seat offers 6 reclining positions. Good to make your child comfortable as they can be.
If you and your partner have different heights then an adjustable handlebar is just what you need. It won’t be only beneficial for you two, but others like the grandparents.
Being able to adjust the height helps you out in many situations. Not all strollers offer this, but it’s becoming a feature that many manufacturers include.
5 point harness system for more protection. The front wheels are swivel and are also lockable, which makes them suitable for life in the city.
They have narrowed streets so, swivel wheels will make pushing through easier. All suspension wheels as well and a front bar.
You have a handbrake connecting to the wheels which makes it easier to stop the pram. You the option of using your foot or hands.
2 covers are included for protection from the rain. It can also act as a protection from bugs or other insects. It can be something for you if you live in the county side.
A shopping basket underneath for your groceries or other personal belongings. Your baby’s nappy changing bag can also be something you can place there.
The chassis is lightweight even with the other seat which makes it worth it. Many double strollers are heavy and not easy to carry when travelling.
The lighter it is the better it will be for you and your partner.
Lastly, the stroller is car seat compatible, which I will talk about shortly. With the car seat, your stroller turns into a travel system.
The Car Seat.
Product: Hauck comfort fix.
Size of the Product: 56 x 45 x 63 cm; 3 Kilograms
My Rating: 9.5/10.
The Hauck comfort fix is made out of foam and aluminium. The seat is ergonomically designed with head protection and other major features.
The car seat is suitable from birth up to 13kg that’s around 12 month’s and even beyond depending on your baby. With adapters, you can use the car seat with the Duett 2.
The car seat has a 3 point harness system and has been tested multiple times for its safety. When installing it in your car you can either use the belt or the Isofix base.
The seat is designed to make it easier for your baby to breathe better. The fabrics are good for the heat, and the Hauck comfort fix canopy can be pulled backed or removed.
During hot summer days, this can be needed. The seat is of course faced rear because your baby is weak. They will need all of the support.
All of the fabrics can be removed to make the seat lighter, and when needed it can be place back to offer safety for the baby. The shock-absorbing fabrics will take on many impacts.
Hauck Duett 2 vs Other Strollers.
The Duett 2 is indeed an amazing stroller with many features, but is it the best out there? Are there any other strollers it can compete it?
I will only compare it to strollers I have written about before, meaning strollers that I have reviewed. It’s easier for me to make a comparison and to able to tell you more details.
Strollers that I have done more research on. I will choose the Phil and Ted’s Sport Double Stroller and Joovy Caboose Ultralight Stroller.
The strollers are a bit different in design, but all of them are tandem strollers that are suitable for car seats. I will also only compare the stroller, so not the travel systems.
The strollers have similar prices and qualities too.
Duett 2 vs Phil and Ted’s Sport Double Stroller.
What are the similarities between these two strollers? Well some of them are:
- Both offer reclining positions on the seats.
- Suitable for car seats.
- Big canopy.
- All suspension.
- Excellent fabrics.
- 5 point harness system.
- A footrest.
- Both are also cheap (Well, compared to other strollers).
These are the similarities other than that they both have features that the others don’t. The Sport stroller is only forward-facing, has 3 wheels, it’s easy to fold with seat, mesh pockets, child tray and it offers all-terrain wheels.
The Duett 2 has features that the other stroller don’t. The Sport stroller does not have a backrest, adjustable handlebar, ventilated hood, leg rest for newborn, handbrake, etc.
Many of the things the Duett 2 offers the Phil and Ted’s Double Stroller don’t have it. It also depends on what you are looking for.
For personally I will choose the Duett 2 pram, but others will contradict that. The reason I will not choose the Sport is that it only offers forward-facing and does that has an adjustable handlebar.
Duett 2 vs Joovy Caboose Ultralight Stroller.
The similarities with these 2 strollers are:
- Both are compatible with car seats.
- Tandem double strollers.
- Both cost the same, more or less.
- Big canopy.
- Shopping basket underneath.
- Light aluminium chassis.
- Swivel wheels.
- Forward and rear-facing.
- Lightweight chassis.
Although they might have some common elements the strollers differ in many regards. They are both tandem strollers but the Joovy Caboose Ultralight Stroller seat is lined, but duett 2 seats are on top of each other.
The Joovy Caboose Ultralight Stroller does not offer features such as a carrycot, handbrake, lockable front wheels, adjustable leg rest and handlebar, backrest, 5 point harness system, covers, ventilated hood, etc.
The Duett 2 also does not offer many features the Caboose Ultralight Stroller offer. A parent organiser, child tray, foldable, Maximum weight on both seats are 40kg, etc.
Both offer many features that are good for the whole family. Although the Duett 2 offers more features that are good for your family I will have to choose the Joovy Caboose Ultralight Stroller because it’s foldable.
Depending on your lifestyle a foldable stroller is extremely important. The Caboose Ultralight Stroller also has both forward and rear-facing seats.
That’s the only reason it weighs more on the scale, otherwise, the Duett 2 is better. If you don’t mind it not being foldable then it’s better.
However, the pram offers a convertible seat which saves space. You don’t have the seat and carrycot separately. The decision is yours.
- The stroller can’t be folded.
- Comes in few colours.
- The bumper bar is not removable.
- The stroller might loom plain and not well designed for others.
- Does not the top quality like Bugaboo or Uppababy strollers.
- Some people can find it expensive buying with the car seat.
- You need adapters with the car seat.
Cheap and Quality Stroller.
What are your thoughts after viewing this review? Will you consider buying the stroller? This double stroller and car seat are cheap when comparing to other travel systems.
The stroller also offers many features you will find beneficial to your baby’s day to day life. When travelling or taking a stroll outside some of these may come to good use.
It’s good that you also have the option to either choose a carrycot, car seat and seat. The prams above don’t have all of these options.
My sister is using this stroller, although she is only using it for one baby now. From her view, it’s a good quality stroller.
