The famous Bugaboo Fox 2 was made just for does who love to move a lot. Ideal for the city. Suitable from birth up to 17kg. Compatible both with a cot and car seats from different brands.
It has a 4 mode wheel system and a 2 mode wheels system which is for harder terrains like sand, mud, etc. With all suspension and puncture-proof tyres.
The Fox 2 is sturdy and strong but light enough to be lifted. It’s close to being a light buggy besides having all these features.

A big canopy with peeks a boo window. Fox 2 comes in many colours and fabric types to accommodate your lifestyle. It has a 2 system folding mode.
When folded in 1 mode the pushchair stands on its own. Detail designed on the fabrics as well. Excellent stroller for travelling, adventures and shopping.
About the Bugaboo Fox 3.
Just like the former model the Fox 3 is an all-terrain stroller with four and two-mode wheels. It also comes with the carrycot and it’s compatible with many car seats.
Has adjustable positions and an adjustable handlebar and bumper bar to protect the baby.
Both the carrycot and seat unit have big canopies that protect the baby from all weather conditions. The Fox 3 can also be folded with the seat unit and with only the frame.
Down below I will go over the differences it has from the Bugaboo Fox 2.
The Difference Between the Bugaboo Fox 2 and Fox 3.
Fox 2 and Fox 3 Fabrics and Materials.
Most of the fabrics are materials are the same and you can use the Fox 2 parts in the Fox 3, but there are some details that are a bit different.
The Fox 3, has a huge window behind the canopy. This is a mesh panel that’s good for ventilation and you can keep it close during cold days.
When it comes to the Fox 2 it has a peek a boo window to keep an eye on your little one. So, what differs is that the carrycot on the Fox 3 has a big mesh panel in the middle.
This provides further airflow.
When it comes to the seat you have more padding.
Meaning the fabrics on the seat and other places have more water-resistant and are softer as well. This makes the Fox 3 more lasting than the former.
You also have a new harness that’s installed. This new harness has softer pads and the straps are designed to attach independently.
Making it easy for you and your baby.
Fox 2 and Fox 3 Colours.
When it comes to the colours there’s a major difference here. Bugaboo changed the colours when it comes to the chassis, seat and canopy.
You have these colours for the Bugaboo Fox 3 chassis:
- Graphite Gray chassis with Grey Melange fabrics
- Graphite Gray chassis with Midnight Black fabrics
- Black chassis with Grey Melange fabrics
- Black chassis with Midnight Black fabrics
Then you have these colours for the Bugaboo Fox 3 canopies:
- Stormy Blue
- Morning Pink
- Forest Green
- Sunrise Red
- Misty White
- Midnight Black
- Grey Melange
You have seven colours for the Fox and five of these are new which is the Stormy blue, Morning pink, Forest green, Sunrise red and Misty white.
For the Fox 2, you have colours that won’t be continued and these are:
- Aluminum Silver chassis
- Vapour Blue canopy
- Fresh White canopy
- Red canopy
- Soft Pink canopy
- Taupe Mineral Collection special-edition stroller
As you can see Fox 3 offers new colours which will attract more buyers.
Fox 2 and Fox 3 Car Seat Compatibility.
There is no huge difference when it comes to car seat compatibility. They are compatible with many car seats and all of these are almost the same.
Both need adapters to connect to all the car seats. There are a few exceptions when it comes to the Bugaboo Fox 3. It’s compatible with the new Turtle Air.
This car seat is lighter and has a better base. With a connector you can also use the Primo Viaggio 4-35 and Primo Viaggio 4-35 Nido car seats.
This makes it more compatible with other car seats.
Fox 2 and Fox 3 Prices.
When it came to the Bugaboo strollers the prices have always differed depending on what colour and frame you choose. So, it’s the same with Fox 2 and Fox 3.
So the colours differ depending on what you choose. The special edition Black colour is much more expensive around £1200+.
For the general colour you have around £1000 and for the aluminium and black colour, you have £900. This is the general price and it also depends on where you buy it from.
For the Fox 2 is a bit cheaper than this. Adding a car seat and base will increase the prices. Fox 3 pram costs about £1,115on Amazon and for Fox 2 it’s £699 for now.
Which One is Better?
Is it that easy to answer? Some of the carrycot improvements and other materials make the Fox 3 a bit better.
The colours as well are quite nice and some mums will prefer the latter just for the colours. In general, both strollers are the same. The same seat features, frame features and wheels.
These features are the most important when it comes the strollers. The Fox 2 is already a quality stroller with the fabrics and materials it has.
So, it depends on what you personally prefer. If you don’t have the budget Fox 2 is still an amazing pram system.
Which one is it going to be?
