When it comes to the chassis both have adjustable handlebar bars but the height differs. With adjustable handlebars, tall parents can handle the strollers with ease.
The important similarity with the frames is that both can convert into double strollers. With adapters, you can transform both for your twin babies, toddlers or children of different ages.
Looking at storage is almost the same. Both offer large baskets underneath and one more place where you can put your things.
It’s located near the handlebar for the Gazelle S and the Bugaboo Donkey 3 is on the side next to the other seat. These extra baskets can be only used for single strollers.
Puncture-proof tyres and all suspension wheels on both. This makes them suitable for multiple terrains and are the ideal strollers for families all over the world.
Donkey 3 and Gazelle S have foot-operated brakes near the wheels.
One last thing the double strollers share is that when folded both can stand on their own.

Differences Between the Bugaboo Donkey 3 and Cybex Gazelle S.
Differences with the Donkey 3 and Gazelle S Seat Unit and Canopy.
Although there are many similarities, the differences are still there. With the Gazelle S the seat unit offers a completely lie-flat mode. According to manufacturers it can even be used from birth.
It has more reclining options. Another thing it offers is the legrest. Bugaboo Donkey 3 lack a calf rest. This feature is good for your toddler’s feet.
Bugaboo Donkey 3 however offers a rotatable bumper bar which makes it even easier for you to get your child out of the stroller.
Moving to the canopies, Bugaboo Donkey 3 has a wider hood but both are big. The Donkey 3 hood has only the colours while for the Gazelle S it’s the seat unit as well.
Differences with the Donkey 3 and Gazelle S Frame/Chassis.
Bugaboo Donkey 3 handlebar height is at 84cm up to 102cm and the handlebar has a wrist loop in the middle making it easier for the one pushing.
With it, you can easily grab the handle and control it with one hand. For the Gazelle S, you have a height of 100cm up to 110cm.
As you can see the Donkey 3 is more suitable for short parents and it has more adjustments.
For the Gazelle S tall parents will appreciate it more. The Gazelle S lacks the wrist loop though.
Both are indeed double strollers, but they differ. Gazelle S is a tandem stroller which means the accessories are on top of each other.
For the Donkey 3, it’s a side by side double buggy. The seat is next to each other. This means your children are next to each other.
Side by side strollers tend to take more space, but tandem buggies can also make it difficult to see where you a pushing depending on what accessory you are using.
Bugaboo Donkey 3 has one mode and a two-mode fold. Well, piece fold. Gazelle S only has the former. Donkey 3 has the so-called beach mode.
It’s a two-wheel system you can use on the beach. This makes it easy to push through the rough sand or any terrain. A different set of designs with the wheels as well.
Last you have the baskets. Both can carry 10kg of weight but the Gazelle S basket seems bigger and wider. Together with the upper basket, it can carry up to 23kg.
So, the Gazelle S has more space.

Cybex Gazelle S weighs 12kg and the open dimensions are L930-1060 x W650 x H1000-1100mm and the folded dimensions are H86 x D35 x W65cm.

Gazelle S has a wider seat unit and it has a higher height as well. When it comes to the length or diameter it depends. It also offers a slightly more compact fold than the Bugaboo pushchair.
It’s, therefore, easier to store at home and in your boot. These folding dimensions are for Bugaboos one mode folding system.

Cybex Gazelle S has these colours:

As you can see the Gazelle S only offers three colours but it’s on the canopy and seat which some parents might prefer.
Moving on to the prices. For a single Bugaboo Donkey price, you have between £985 – £1095. It depends on where you are buying it from.
The Duo price is around £1510, and if you want a travel system for single-mode is £1335 and that’s with the cot and car seat.

Donkey 3 has more colours but it’s much more expensive, and on the other side you the Gazelle S that offers fewer colours but it’s cheaper.

Alongside Maxi Cosi, they offer cheaper models.

Which One is Better?
It’s hard to choose between these two because they both offer soo many features. Donkey 3 offers a better handlebar for the average human height and short parents.
It has a wrist loop on the handle as well. One mode and two-mode fold with beach mode system. The better bumper bar and the colours and style is immense.
It’s a side by side stroller as well. Having your children next to each other can be something many prefer. It’s easier to control them and for them to bond as well.
When it comes to the Gazelle S it’s lighter, compatible with more car seats, cheaper, offers a better seat unit and has a better compact fold.
It’s a tandem stroller as well. Some prefer it even more. The choice depends on you.
If we remove the price and double mode style, which can only be chosen based on preference then the Gazelle S is slightly better.
Although it lacks premium colours and two-wheel mode it has some other beneficial features. Although Bugaboo Donkey 3 style and look is praised more.
These strollers have soo many pros so you are probably wondering if there are any cons. Well, the prices are one. They are indeed expensive and not affordable for all.
Second-hand is the cheapest option. Each weighs over 11kg which makes them heavy. They won’t be easy to lift and carry around. (This includes the seat unit only. Different weight with the cot or car seat).
When using the double mode you cant use the second basket. So, only the underneath baskets are left. These are the major cons.
There’s too many pros and much to think about. I understand if you are confused and wondering what to do. Just think about your lifestyle and your needs.
Will the Bugaboo Donkey 3 or the Cybex Gazelle S benefit you? Although both are quality and good not both suit all.
However, whichever you choose the stroller will be with the family for years. So, what’s your choice? Let me know.
